We undertake the complete design, installation, modification, and refurbishment of both conventional and addressable fire detection systems. Whether integrating a new fire alarm installation into a new-build development, carrying out a full system rewire during refurbishment works, or upgrading obsolete infrastructure, our engineers ensure every installation is designed, installed, tested, and commissioned to the highest industry standards. All works are completed in accordance with the latest edition of BS 5839, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and all relevant Building Regulations. Comprehensive commissioning, functional testing, cause-and-effect verification, certification, and as-installed documentation are provided upon completion.

Our Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes are designed to maximise system reliability, minimise downtime, and ensure ongoing statutory compliance. Scheduled inspections include the testing of fire alarm control and indicating equipment (CIE), smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, sounders, visual alarm devices, interfaces, standby power supplies, battery capacity, communication pathways, and all associated field devices. Detailed service reports identify system deficiencies, deterioration, false alarm trends, and recommendations for remedial works where required. TLS Defence engineers are experienced in diagnosing complex system faults, replacing legacy control equipment, upgrading detection technologies, extending existing fire alarm networks, and integrating fire alarm systems with Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) smoke control systems, access control, emergency door release interfaces, building management systems (BMS), and other life safety infrastructure.
